Throughout my surrogacy journey, I will use many acronyms/abbreviations. I created a list of the most common ones for reference.

2WW- two week wait

AF- Aunt Flow

BCP- Birth Control Pills

BETA- Blood Test for pregnancy

BFP- Big Fat Positive

BFN- Big Fat Negative

CD- Cycle Day

DPO- Days Past Ovulation

DPT- Days Post Transfer

EDD- Estimated Due Date

FET- Frozen Embryo Transfer

GC / GS - Gestational Carrier, Gestational Surrogate

GD- Gestational Diabetes

HPT- Home Pregnancy Test

IF- Intended Father

IM- Intended Mother

IP- Intended Parents

IVF- In Vitro Fertilization

LMP- Last Menstrual Period

MC- Miscarriage

O- Ovulation

OB / GYN - Obstetrician, Gynecologist

PIO- Progesterone in Oil

RE- Reproductive Endocrinologist

Rx- Prescription

SM- Surrogate Mother
